Experience
In 1986, while instructing an aerobics class, I had a life-changing fall that left me with a constant pain in my right leg, groin and adductor tendon. I began the search for answers to heal, but conventional practitioners couldn't find a diagnosis and I was deemed an enigma. Numerous specialists, lab tests & imagery, a hip labral surgery, prolotherapy, electromyography, physical therapy with internal structural release, ultrasound, dry needling, trigger point injections, all afforded little relief. Once I shifted into menopause, my symptoms only intensified and I was debilitated further.
A long journey became much longer, but I persevered to achieve some sense of normalcy. My own program with consistent selective strengthening, gentle movement, supportive self-care and reduction of inflammation with diet and supplements, helped me reinvent my life and my profession. I’ve discovered some light in my darkness, with my own program, balancing my life, tuning into my body physically, emotionally and spiritually. I look forward to sharing my own journey and solutions with clients who are also searching for healing and recovery.
